Karajan artists in interview: Paata Burchuladze
Paata Burchuladze, the internationally acclaimed bass, performed as “Il Commendatore” in Karajan’s 1985 “Don Giovanni” studio recording and the Salzburg production in 1987.
He also appeared in Mozart’s Requiem live and on film and in Karajan’s last-ever concert with singers, the Verdi Requiem on 27 March 1989.
